When I finally reached the top of the staircase I made my way to my room and crawled into bed. My body ached with new pains that made the old feel ten times worse. With every breath I took, my rib cage ripped apart, or at least it seemed that way. It happened like this all the time though so maybe I deserved all of this. I guess I had it coming to me. My brothers are just looking out for me. They’re just trying to make me a better person I suppose. These thoughts kept roaming around in my mind until finally I drifted into sleep. *** The next morning I woke up, still incredibly sore. I heard a knock on the door and in came Joe. I immediately sat up straight. “Hey Ally,” he greeted with a smile, which was very rare. In fact, I didn’t even know he knew how to smile. “Do you have my report?” he asked looking around the room.
